An assistant that knows Sodalis
The chat bubble, available to every signed-in brother, draws on the application's manual and knows which screen you are on: the questions it suggests adapt to what you are looking at.
The assistant can also search the GLDF's lodge directory — “which lodges meet on Tuesdays in Lyon?” — and points back to the lodge map on the home page.
Lodge data, read according to your role
Any brother can ask it about his lodge's public information: the next meeting and its agenda, news, agapes, polls, published papers. Officers can also ask about the register, attendance, attendance intentions, finances, equipment and key figures.
It reads, changes nothing, and never has access to candidate files.
Specific tasks
Elsewhere in the application, artificial intelligence steps in on request, for well-defined actions, and its output is always yours to review:
- Pre-filling a record from a photo of an identity document
- Reading the details of an expense receipt
- Recognising the columns of a membership file to import
- Suggesting the summary of a paper
- Formatting, proofreading or rewriting a news item
- Suggesting themes and the distribution of papers in the annual plan
- Generating a banner image for the lodge
What you should know
The AI is not anonymous: the data needed for a task is sent to the artificial intelligence provider chosen by the platform. Some functions limit what is sent: for planning, the brethren's names are replaced by aliases; for member import, only column headers and a few sample rows are sent.
Usage is metered per lodge, and a monthly cap can be set. And when the assistant is not enough, “Write to support” puts you in touch with a real person, who answers by e-mail.
