A meal tied to its meeting
Tick “Create an agape” when preparing a meeting or an event: the meal takes its date and visibility, and follows if the meeting is moved. An agape can stay in draft, be visible or hidden to the brethren, and marks itself “Finished” once its date has passed.
Agapes are listed season by season, with the same Masonic-year filter as the rest of the application.
Registration by the brethren
From his home page, a brother registers for the agape of the next meeting. Registering also declares him present at the meeting: he does not have to answer twice, and can change his mind later.
An officer can also register a brother by hand, with his menu and amount, or a guest — a visiting brother from another lodge, a partner — by name alone, without a member record.
The caterer and the table
The registrants window shows the count per menu. “Copy the list” puts the guests, grouped by menu, on the clipboard, ready to paste into a message to the caterer.
On the night, those at table are checked in one by one or all at once, so the list finally reflects who actually dined.
The agape's accounts
The amount collected, the sum of the amounts registered, is recalculated with each registration and each removal. The Statistics view compares agapes with one another: registered and present, takings, attendance rate, average spend.
In the season's financial picture, agape contributions stay separate from dues and the widow's mite: each flow keeps its nature, with no combined balance.
