Calling the dues
At the start of the Masonic year, “Call for dues” suggests a common amount, based on the most frequent one, and ticks the brethren who belong to the lodge during the season. Any brother can be given his own amount — partial exemption, dual membership — and no one is called twice for the same season.
Tracking payments
The dues table filters between pending and paid. One click marks a payment with today's date; the date and method — cheque, transfer, cash, card, other — can be refined later, and several dues can be settled in one go.
Each brother's account gathers what is owed, paid and outstanding across all seasons, with a note visible to officers only. Arrears from previous seasons stay flagged until they are settled.
The widow's mite
The collection is entered meeting by meeting, from Finances or from the meeting itself. Meetings without an amount are flagged “To enter”; the average per meeting and the average gift per brother present are calculated for you.
Expense claims and equipment
A brother photographs his receipt; artificial intelligence can read its details, and the Treasurer approves or rejects the claim. An approved claim can restock the lodge's inventory, which flags items that fall below their alert threshold.
Reporting and handing over
The Statistics view follows the collection rate, receipts month by month, payment methods and the widow's mite compared with the previous season. Dues, widow's mite and agapes remain separate flows: Sodalis does not claim to keep the lodge's general accounts.
The displayed list of dues exports to CSV, readable in any spreadsheet, for the Treasurer's report or the handover to a successor.
