The brother's record
Entered Apprentice, Fellow Craft or Master Mason; active, distant or dormant; the office he holds; contact details; obedience and lodge numbers; admission and departure dates with the reason: the record gathers what a Secretary usually keeps across several spreadsheets.
The degree progression keeps the date and the body of each step, from the 1st to the 33rd degree of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite. Lists of brethren follow the register's order everywhere: by lodge number, then by name.
Building the register
To get started, a CSV file can be imported with the help of artificial intelligence, which recognises your columns: only the headers and two or three sample rows are sent to it; the preview and the removal of duplicates then happen without it. Import without AI remains possible.
For a new brother, a photo of an identity document can pre-fill his record. The image is then sent to the AI provider for that extraction, and you check every field before saving.
Access and invitations
Each brother is invited by e-mail; the invitation link stays valid for fourteen days. He then signs in without a password, through a personal, single-use link.
A brother's office — Worshipful Master, Wardens, Orator, Secretary, Treasurer, Almoner… — is distinct from his access role. Sodalis suggests a role from the office but never imposes it: only an administrator assigns roles.
Membership in figures
The register's Statistics view, filtered by Masonic year, sheds light on the lodge over time:
- Membership, entries and exits, season by season
- Age pyramid
- Time from Entered Apprentice to Fellow Craft and from Fellow Craft to Master Mason
- Brethren due for raising, and jubilees
- Record quality: what remains to be completed
